Jude 1:2 “Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.”

What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2016? Exercise more, eat less, set a budget or pay off bills? It is a great time of year to evaluate what we would like to do differently in the coming year. But what are your Godly New Year resolution or do you even set any? What is God calling you do different in 2016.

God wants us to be more deliberate about His mission to a hurting world and to line up our resolutions with His plans. We can resolve to help more people in the coming year by being the hands and feet of Jesus to a suffering world. Resolutions can include starting a Bible study, attending church more regularly, helping a sick neighbor, visiting the sick in hospital, or donating to a worthy cause each month like ours at Orphan Relief Effort. They are so many ways to make a difference. Seek God in prayer to find out how He is calling you for this new year.

Each year I pray for the Lord to provide me with a word and a verse to guide me through my year. God gave me the word Mercy and my verse is Isaiah 40:31 (below) for this year and I look forward to see what God has planned for our ministry.

God has put His plans for 2016 into motion. He is doing something new. Will you join with Him in this work? He is calling you to join Him. Will you answer that call for 2016?
