Our Faith for Advent
Today, we look at faith for Advent. The scent of pine and cinnamon fills my house as I prepare for Christmas. The Christmas tree stands majestically in the corner of my living room, its twinkling lights reflecting off the ornaments and casting a festive glow, while the outdoor lights twinkle under the moonlit sky. Stacks of brightly colored bags filled with presents patiently await Christmas morning, each holding a mystery waiting to be revealed.
The orphanages we support are buzzing with Christmas cheer, as preparations for the holiday are in full swing. Thanks to generous donations, we can ensure that over one hundred children in need to experience the magic of Christmas, making their holiday bright with gifts and festive celebrations.
With a minimal amount of decorations and no trees adorned with glittering ornaments, the holiday spirit will be subtle yet sincere. Instead, their quiet celebrations will focus on a special meal shared, the flavors of home-cooked dishes warming their hearts, and a single present for each child, a tangible symbol of love and joy. While their celebrations may be smaller in scale, they are no less filled with the warm spirit of Christmas as they prepare their hearts faith for advent.
“2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:2-3 (NKJV).

God Prepares
As I prepare my heart for the baby Jesus on Christmas morn, I envision the place Christ is preparing for me in His heavenly realms, a place filled with the light of His presence and the music of angels. Jesus is creating a place where I can be with Him forever, cherishing each day like it’s a magical Christmas morning.
I imagine all those who have gone before me gathered in one place, laughing, and sharing stories like a joyous family Christmas. Do you believe Christ is preparing a place just for you? Amidst the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, take some quiet moments to reflect and find Him. He is eager to create a special space just for you.
Prayer for Our Faith for Advent
You, O God, through your holy prophets, foretold the coming of your only Son to be born of a virgin and dwell among us. We see the fulfillment of your Word in these remaining days. When the day arrives for the redeemer of mankind to judge us, may Jesus find us worthy and accept us into our eternal home. Help us have for faith for Advent. Amen.
