Meet Melinda Inman

Friends Melinda Inman

Sometimes you meet someone online, and you connect on many levels. Today, I want to tell you about such a friend. Please meet my friend Melinda Inman. She is a fellow author and follower of Christ. Melinda shares her faith through her writing. I quickly learned how deep her love is for our Savior Jesus and how much she cares for others.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Melinda describes herself in this way:

“I am a prodigal. Through trial and heartache, God has drawn me closer. He continues to draw me. Our journey together challenges and stretches me, teaching me how much I need Him. My desire is to grow in greater intimacy with Him throughout my life and encourage others to do the same. Flowing from my compassion for broken people like myself, I write, speak, and teach. I equip people to study God’s Word, our source of healing. Come with me on the journey.”

Per Melinda Inman

Melinda was raised on the Oklahoma plains in a storytelling family. She now spins tales from her writer’s cave in the coastal South. Her faith-filled fiction illustrates our human story, wrestling with our brokenness and the storms that wreak havoc in our lives.

Melinda’s Books

Melinda has authored five Christian fiction books, and her works earned her many awards. She writes with passion, illustrating God’s love for wounded people. Her writing also encompasses chronic illness and autoimmune disease, as she was stricken when her first novel was in production. So Melinda does all this writing and caring while dealing with her own health issues. And you will find that she shares this same passion through her blogs.

Additionally, Melinda writes Bible studies to help others deepen their relationship with Christ. Her husband, Tim, uses these same studies in their ministry to churches in India. All the details can be found on her webpage listed below.

Here are some blurbs about a few of her fiction books:

NO LONGER ALONE:

When the entire world falls apart, can God be trusted? No Longer Alone explores how a young Oklahoma rancher pursues the love of his life while battling nature and himself on the eve of the Great War.

FALLEN:

Upon infant earth, the Creator shapes a man and a woman, the beginning. Blissful love and innocence reign. But evil encroaches, tempting them to wreck it all.

REFUGE:

Refuge is a tale of love, murder, revenge, and redemption, pulled from the oldest known source of drama—the Bible. Can we find God even after we’ve deliberately violated our consciences, wounded everyone we love, and committed an act that we feel is unforgivable?

BENJAMIN’S BLESSING:

Benjamin always follows his plan, working alongside Papa and keeping the family’s Idaho lumber industry ecologically sound. Someday, maybe he’ll meet the right woman and settle down. But there’s no time, and he’s never met anyone.

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

Psalm 133:1

Yvonne, thank you for sharing about Melinda and her heart.

Melinda, you are a gem in the blogging and writing world…a treasure shining forth the love of Christ. The two works I’ve read, “No Longer Alone” and “The Shadows Come,” are some of the best Christian fiction pieces I’ve ever read. My husband heard this over and over during my readings. Because you really know Jesus and desire to make Him known and it shows through your characters and storylines. Even Scripture is dotted throughout these wonderful books.
